Production of pollen
At the beginning of spring, we place the pollen traps on about 50 hives, while the willows and cistus are flowering. We use some pollen bottom traps
Our hive stands have been specially designated to fit the skeps underneath the bottom
The traps are removed in mid-June, just before the production of summer honey.
Right after the crop, the pollen is extracted manually, then frozen to assure its quality. The pollen is used in our protein mixture, joined with beer yeast or baker yeast, to feed up the nourishing bees. We also sell a part of this fresh pollen in jars of 100g.
